Privacy Policy

Summary

Carnivore Calculators is a static website. There are no accounts, no logins, no contact forms, no comment sections, and no database. We do not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal details, and we do not run analytics of our own. The one third party whose code runs on this site is Google, which serves the advertisements. Google's advertising cookies are described in their own section below, separately from what the site itself does.

What This Site Collects

Nothing. Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter, such as body weight, food servings, meat prices, smoker temperature, or workout duration, are used to produce a result on the page. The site contains no code that sends those inputs to us or to any server. We have no way to see what you typed.

Some calculators encode your inputs in the page address so that you can bookmark or share a result without creating an account. That information lives in your browser's address bar and in any link you choose to share. Updating the address does not send a request anywhere. If you later reload that address or open a shared link, the address, including those values, is transmitted to the hosting provider like any other page request, and the address of the page you are viewing is visible to Google's advertising script as described below.

First-Party Cookies and Browser Storage

The site itself sets no cookies. It does not use local storage, session storage, or any other browser storage. If you clear your browser and return, the site will not remember anything about your previous visit. This statement covers only code written for this site. It does not extend to cookies set by Google's advertising services, which are covered in the next section.

Third-Party Advertising: Google AdSense

This site uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. The AdSense script loads on every page. When it loads, your browser contacts Google's servers directly, which exposes to Google the same information any web request carries: your IP address, your browser and device details, and the address of the page you are viewing.

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google's use of the DoubleClick DART cookie and related advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and to other sites on the internet. These cookies are set by Google, not by Carnivore Calculators. We do not have access to the data they contain.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. Other Third-Party Resources

The site loads no other third-party resources. Fonts, styles, and scripts are served with the site itself. There are no embedded videos, social media widgets, or external analytics services.

Hosting and Server Logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes each request in order to deliver the page you asked for, and may record standard request details such as your IP address, user agent, the page requested, and the time of the request in its server logs. That logging is performed by Cloudflare under its own privacy policy. We do not operate any server-side code of our own and do not access individual visitor records.

Links to Other Sites

Pages on this site link to external sources such as the USDA FoodData Central database, to Google's policy pages, and to a related site we operate. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.

Children

This site is not directed at children. Because the site collects no personal information from any visitor, it collects none from children either. Google's advertising cookies, described above, apply to every visitor regardless of age, and the opt-out links above apply equally.

Changes to This Policy

If the way this site works changes, for example if we add analytics or a contact form, this page will be updated to describe it. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
