About Carnivore Calculators

Free browser-based tools for people eating a meat-heavy diet.

What This Site Is

Carnivore Calculators is a set of single-purpose calculators for people on carnivore, keto, or other high-protein diets. Every tool runs in your browser with no account or sign-up, and most encode your inputs in the page address so a result can be bookmarked or shared.

The tools currently on the site are the Protein Target Calculator, Meal Protein Counter, Meat Value Calculator, Electrolyte Calculator, Smoking Time Calculator, Exercise Fat Burn Estimator, Protein Label Decoder, Hidden Carbs in Dairy Counter, Organ Meat Nutrient Comparison, and a protein reference chart for common cuts, plus a few articles on walking and fat loss.

Where the Numbers Come From

The protein, fat, calorie, carbohydrate, and micronutrient figures behind the meal counter, protein chart, hidden carbs counter, electrolyte food tables, and organ meat comparison come from USDA FoodData Central. Those values are stored with the site rather than fetched live, so they reflect the database as of our last check.

The exercise estimator uses MET values from the 2024 Compendium of Physical Activities and an approximate fat-oxidation share for each intensity. The meat value calculator uses the USDA's published intramuscular fat ranges for Prime, Choice, and Select. The smoking calculator uses reference cook times per cut, with target internal temperatures aligned to USDA safe minimum temperature guidance.

Estimates, Not Advice

Every result is an estimate built from population-level data and general formulas. Real foods vary by cut, brand, and cooking method, and real people vary far more. Nothing here is medical or dietary advice. Talk to your healthcare provider before changing your diet.

Who Maintains It

The site is built and maintained by an independent publisher, not a nutrition company or medical organization. The same publisher runs Gelatin Calculator. If you spot a wrong number, use the contact page.
